The KLM Web Design process

Throughout the years we have found four key steps in designing a website. This allows us to know exactly what you are looking for in a website and still keep it within your budget and on schedule.

1. Research

Your website is a reflection of you and your business, so it is imperative that we understand your goals, objectives and expectations for the web development of your website. We ask focused questions, clarify details and request supporting information to get an in-depth understanding of your business and what we need to do to make the project a success. We will research your competitors and see what makes their sites successful or not. We will show you examples of good and bad sites, so you know exactly what to expect. You also can use other sites that you may have seen as examples of what you like and we will do our best to accommodate you.

2. Design

Our design process will start out with the small aspects of your site, such as logo, colors, font, layout and many other small design aspects. Once you have approved these aspects we start to put them all together one piece at a time, while we build your site from the ground up. You will be with us throughout the entire design process. We want your thoughts and feedback because this site is going to represent your business.

3. Development

In the development of your site we will configure your site so it is easy to navigate and user friendly. We will set up your domain name and web hosting, then we will enable all your internal and external links, set-up any eCommerce accounts, proof read any copy you have created, set up basic SEO, and have a working copy that meets your requirements before we move onto the next step.

4. Deployment

Once we have fully developed your site, we will test it on multiple web browsers. On today's internet there are many different browsers in use and we want your site to be working perfectly on all of them. Once we have tested it thoroughly we will have you also run through it and make sure it meets your expectations before we upload it to the web and go live.

Now your site is live, but that is not where our work ends. We want your site to work properly and sometimes there are instances that we may have missed or changes you would like to see. We will service your site until you are completely happy with it for no extra charge.
